Overview
In collaboration with; Rachel Scofield, Jake Morgan, Sohpie Newman, and Dani Koehler Our goal was to design an intergenerational senior living facility of the future. With an emphasis on building community and engaging a future senior population with an emphasis on universal design.
Approach
I was assigned the patio space which I used to create a multifunctional environment featuring private and group lounge seating, a social fire pit with a pizza oven, an orchard space, and a community garden. Extra wide walking space, antimicrobial materials, handrails, multi-height countertops, increased lighting options, and a temperature controlled winter enclosure come together to serve an aging population.
