Chair Museum Modeling

2021

This project began with the selection of a famous designer and a chair associated with them. The deliverable was a model of a museum space meant to display the designer's chair.

I chose Florence Knoll's 578 sofa. Often described as knolls 'Meat n Potatoes' the chair was primarily used as a piece of filler furniture. I chose to push back on this notion, setting the museum in an office reflective of Knoll's career. The entire environment is whited out with the only pops of color being the knoll chairs, sitting in their natural unobtrusive positions.
