Parker Food Science Graduate Studio Renovation

2024

The Parker Food Science graduate studios were looking for a space renovation. After contacting Continental Office the building manager received a plan that she felt did not solve some of the space challenges. I was asked to put together an alternative plan. This involved meeting with both the building manager and graduate students to understand the programmatic needs of the space. My proposal involves reformatting the graduate spaces to serve as informal drop in environments removing assigned seating to better reflect the hybrid working culture seen in the studios today. Additionally, I was asked to suggest some simple ideas that could bring a little life to the hallways of the building.
